    On Monday evening, July 28, Ulster County Fire Services held a graduation ceremony at SUNY New Paltz recognizing the achievements of 62 men and women who completed their basic firefighter training over the past year.

    Ulster County Executive Jen Metzger today announced that Dina Suggs, a Kingston resident and longtime public servant, will assume the role of Chief Diversity Officer effective August 4. Suggs succeeds Esi Lewis, who will be departing County government to focus full-time on her role as Executive Director of the Dr. Margaret Wade-Lewis Center for History and Culture in New Paltz. Lewis has served as Chief Diversity Officer since January 2023, when the position was elevated to the Executive Office.

    Ulster County Executive Jen Metzger today announced the appointment of Andy Bicking as the County’s new Director of the Department of the Environment. Bicking brings more than 25 years of experience in environmental policy, programs, and community engagement, and has been a resident of Ulster County for more than two decades.
